CONFESSION! I Spent My Loot On Widows, Lawyers -- Suspect

The police in Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, have arrested a robbery suspect, Mr Karen Oguntuase who confessed that he spent the loot from his robbery operations on widows and lawyers in Lagos State, southwest Nigeria.
The suspect was arrested by men of SARS in a popular hotel in Ajangbadi area of Lagos after a tip-off.
The 24-year old suspect said he is a 300 level student of Department of Mechanical Engineering in a university and he combines his studies with his robbery business.
Oguntuase said he went into full time armed robbery four years ago and has been involved in some banks and major robberies in Lagos which had been successful until he was arrested.
He also confessed that he had participated in...
many robbery operations within and outside Lagos and made big money in operation.
He admitted that he had no bank account, saying most of the money he made are in the hands of trusted friends and relations who do not know he was a robber.
He said after any successful operation, he sets aside a certain amount for the widows and another for his lawyers who come to bail him if he runs into trouble.
On why he chose to do that, he said he believed that the prayers of the widows will help him to succeed in operations and he also has compassion for them.
He confessed that he had run into trouble on three occasions and he was rescued by his lawyers who ensured that the matter was charged to court and he was remanded in prison custody where he regained his freedom.
When asked what made him to become a robber, he replied that he was a street boy and was stubborn and did not listen to his parents.
He said he was drawn into armed robbery by his friends who revealed their secrets; and after revealing it, they initiated he so that he could not back out or it will cost him his life.
On why he did not quit, he said it is difficult to leave the business due to over-confidence and greed              .
“The gun and charms will give you confidence that nothing will happen and the money involved makes you live big, so you cannot just leave,” he explained.
“Besides, your gang will not allow you to leave, otherwise they will kill, and you can only leave by the grace of God”
“I am telling you this because I want to change if I come out alive from this problem. I have came to realize all is vanity and I will go back to God and worship Him forever.”
