Photo: Insert angry students on rampage
According to news making the rounds has it that Students of Bowen University, Iwo, on Wednesday night went on rampage over hike in their school fees and no electricity and water supply and also denying students access to healthcare after 6pm which is against their fundamental right to health.
The Students andalised their chaplain’s home, shops, razed down buildings, smashed cars and caused mayhem all over the university campus.
It was revealed that the students are also angry over their VC, Matthew Ojo, treating them like animals and prisoners.
According to source, the school increased their school fees from N540,000 to N640,000.
It was gathered that the school security personnel reportedly fled while the students were on rampage but the police came to calm things down.
Bowen University is a private Nigerian university owned and operated by the Nigerian Baptist Convention. Bowen University is located at Iwo in Osun State.
