Air Nigeria on Thursday
said its aircraft engineers and pilots under the umbrella of the
Nigerian Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineer had suspended their
strike.
A statement by its Media
Relations Manager, Samuel Ogbogoro , the air flight company said it
regretted
the inconveniences the strike might have caused its
passengers.
Ogbogoro said in the
statement that Air Nigeria would “shortly recommence normal flight
operations across its domestic and regional routes.”
He added that the company
had been operating “in strict compliance with safety regulations and has
at no time compromised on standards”
He said, “Air Nigeria has
an established safety record as it has consistently adhered to world
class safety standards as evident in its registration for the third time
in a row on the registry of the IATA Operational Safety Audit
Programme.”
