    4. You even look more stupid with your comment. Please you guys or ladies should spare us this useless name calling. The crux of the matter is that Nigerian law system needs serious reform. Nigerian citizens seems to have lose faith in them.

  5. If oyinbo man treat una like this for same offence in bodo america or london town, all una go carry placard dey demo say how babaric act, some go shout racism, abuse of human right, why cant she have her day in court? etc but see the kind thing wey una dey do una sef! Nigerian law say u be innocent until dem prove say you guilty for court no be street. Why will you treat any human being like this? Lets reform our institutions so that justice can take its cause in a more dignified and civilised fashion. Jungle justice is very dangerous as it goes wrong and can be used to settle old scores. Innocent people have been burnt to death just for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. we have had it so bad for too long, some of us dont know what is right anymore. Police abuse their powers with untold brutality and carry out judicial killings, forgetting that there role is to uphold the law not become the law, the judge and the jury. Lets stop and think before we act rashly on impulse. Jungle justice is a bad form of justice in a democratic society. It reflects lawlessness my people.

    1. @Truthprevails thnx so much for your comment. It shows how matured you are.
It is so sad to see Nigerians come into a forum or public discussion place to pour out venom on each other through their comments. Frankly speaking you can sense their ignorance and frustration which will make you wonder how most of them were raised. Hardly you see a Nigeria make a comment with cursing one another. I mean how could one say ''Bastard Nigerians''?This is a very bad thing to behold.

  6. In addition i think reintroducing capital punishment for robbers-kidnappers-terrorist will reduce crime.

    1. Osai, I beg to differ on the re-introduction of capital purnishment. it is a failed policy which is still ongoing via extra judicial killings anyway! If you examine the number of decades capital purnishment was adopted as the official policy, crime only soared, it got armed-robbers more desperate, more daring and more deadly, robber knew that once caught it was death so they did all humanly possible not to get caught, they killed there victims so they could not be identified, acquired more deadly weapons and risked shoot-outs with police to avoid capture etc We cannot focus on treating the symptoms while abandoning the cause and expect things to change. Lets address the main causes of crime such as the inequality and injustice in society, the sheer deprivation, the idleness of our youth, the values eroded by greed and materialism, where we no longer bother how we come into money as long as we have it. the country needs a total re-orientation. The police crime prevention and detection rates needs to increase tremendously but for that to happen they need to stop being used as a political tool, a repressive tool. they need to be well paid, well equipped with the right values, ethics, ongoing training, protective gear, transportation, robust communication and information systems, and firepower that puts the fear of God in potential criminals. Corruption has made our borders porous, you can bribe your way through and bring in weapons or come in through smuggling routes which are still open for business. Lets name and shame self-serving politicians who abuse, rob us blind and through their ineptitude put armed robbers, kidnappers, assasins on our streets as they do us more harm than the armed robbers rather than woship such politicians the way we do for the sake of bread. Osai if you really still are not convinced, perhaps your suggestion should be adopted for all public officials that rob us day in day out.

    2. To Truth Prevails; i always like your analysis but i beg to disagree with you on this. Let me ask you first do you think Nigeria is better off now as it concerns crime? If we like we can shy away from this or introduce another version of human right as you are preaching but the thing is that i support <@Osai> on the reintroducing capital punishment in Nigeria, ex lets look at china. once you caught stealing death sentence and that has made a loot of citizens there to think twice before embarking on any journey of no return. Meanwhile i agree with you on the issue of fighting corrupting and equipping the police. Nigeria as at present is not safe even for wild animals to live in.
      Cheers man.
