In a bid to contest the November 2013 gubernatorial election in Anambra state, former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Chales Soludo was reported to have paid Atiku a visit at the latter’s Abuja residence immediately after a faction of the Peoples Democratic Party led by Atiku Abubakar and seven PDP governors staged a walkout from the party’s national convention at the Eagles Square in Abuja.
Source disclosed that Soludo will...
likely run under the platform of newly break away PDP for the forth coming Anambra gubernatorial election
Anambra is a crucial state in the South East, and according to the speculations, President Jonathan who is very close to Anambra governor, Peter Obi, could not afford to allow the state fall into the hand of an Atiku ally. It will also be recalled that Soludo was economic adviser to the Atiku 2011 campaign.
