Barring any last minute change in plan, President Goodluck Jonathan will on Friday(today) visit Chibok, the Borno State community where over 200 schoolgirls were abducted by Boko Haram insurgents on April 14.

This visit will be Jonathan’s first visit to Borno state after 31 days of the abduction of nearly 300 school students, all female, in a story that has captured world attention.
The Boko Haram, in a daring late night raid on the small village, kidnapped over 200 girls at the Government Girls Secondary School, in Chibok last month. The kidnapping, which has drawn the attention of the international community, has placed unwanted focus on Jonathan’s beleaguered leadership.
