For stealing a generator, a musician in Minna, Niger State has been ordered to clean court premises for three months.
The
musician,
Yusu Abubakar, 28 who pleaded guilty to theft charge was
ordered by a magistrates’ court in Minna on Tuesday to clean the court
premises as his sentence for the one-count charge of theft filed against
him. Delivering her judgment, Magistrate Mariam King said that if the convict
failed to appear everyday to clean the court premises, he will serve
additional three months in prison.
