A passenger stepped in to land a plane carrying 200 people after the captain fell ill mid-air.

The Jet Airways flight 9W063 was half-way through its journey from Bangkok to Delhi when the senior pilot was said to have become.....
'incapacitated' at the controls.

His co-pilot Samir Malhotra was forced to declare an emergency, but was helped to safely land the aircraft by another Jet Airways pilot who happened to be travelling as a passenger.

The captain, Rajnish Malhotra, was also given medical attention by a doctor who was on the flight.

It is not clear how the pilot's health deteriorated or what his current condition is, although some reports suggested he was 'incapacitated'.

After landing at Indira Gandhi international airport yesterday, the plane remained stuck on the tarmac before it could be towed away because regulations only allow captains to taxi an aircraft.

Drop a comment...thanks!
