Olu Falae, a former Secretary to the federal government and one-time presidential candidate of the Action Congress who was kidnapped a few days ago, has been released by his abductors.
Chief Falae was kidnapped on his 77th birthday at his farm near Akure in Ondo State by.....
unknown gunmen who shot at a pickup truck which was conveying him to the property.
According to SaharaReporters, a family source revealed that Falae was dropped off in Owo town following intense negotiations with his abductors.
Eni Akinsola, a media aide to Gov. Olusegun Mimiko, confirmed his release but declined to reveal how much was paid as ransom to the kidnappers, telling SaharaReporters to direct such questions to Nigeria’s security agencies.
