State Security Services, arrested Ibanga Isine, an editor with Premium Times, while on official assignment.
The newspaper reports that its regional editor, was covering a couple of cases at the federal High Court in Abuja when he was arrested by SSS officials.
Premium Times reports that Isine was arrested shortly after Henry Okah, who is on trial for the 2010 Independence Day bombing, had tried to......
commit suicide in court.
The SSS officials were said to have arrested Isine and seized his gadgets and other forms of communication with the outside world.
While no reason was given for his arrest, the regional editor was detained at the SSS headquarters for several hours before being transferred to the service’s office at Asokoro in Abuja.
Isine however, managed to get in contact with his employers on Tuesday night, after which he was released from the detention of the SSS.
