*VIDEO: Nigeria Police Videotaped Extorting And Taking Bribe Inside Police Station Arrested

The Nigeria police have arrested one of their officers recently videotaped as he harassed a Lagos driver for a bribe, according to an official post on social media on Tuesday.
The police announced on social media that the officer involved in the tape has been arrested, and that the process for his trial had been set in motion.
The officer, who identified himself as “Austin” in an eight-minute video clip, was seen demanding a bribe of N10,000 from a driver after accusing the driver of not presenting insurance papers among his vehicle documents.
After checking through vehicle documents handed over by the driver, the officer entered the car and ordered the driver to follow him to an “investigation room” where he said he would help his victim negotiate a lower fine for not carrying his insurance papers in the car.
The videotaped bribe drama happened at the bustling Computer Village, a popular electronics retail market in Ikeja, the capital city of Lagos State. At the negotiation room, the officer eventually collected N4,000 from the hapless driver after he had searched the driver’s wallet to ensure that he took all the money on his victim.
