Help Doris...

...Mrs Doris
MRS Doris David Shaibu hails from Maiduguri in Borno State precisely and got married to Mr David Shaibu from Edo State. The 39-year-old mother of four was
enjoying her marital life in her own way until 1995.
That was when it was noticed that the right knee of Doris, a caterer, had swollen up. Off she went to the Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos, where after a biopsy test, she was diagnosed and treated for tuberculosis for six months. She later had jaundice and was taken to the Seventh Day Hospital, Ile-Ife, Osun State where the doctors discovered that she had been treated for a wrong ailment. She actually had traces of tumour (cancer). So, her leg was opened up again and she was treated but her situation did not improve much.
The hospital was going to take a sample of the biopsy to the United States of America (USA) for examination but the initiative got stalled due to lack of funds. The hospital, however, gave her a reference letter with which to travel to the USA for treatment as her knee was damaged and needed to be changed.
At the University College Hospital, Ibadan, a doctor confirmed the content of the letter to Doris and urged her to look for money for treatment. “I didn’t know how to source for money so I kept the letter at home for two to three years,” said Doris.
God moves in mysterious ways, His path no one knows, goes the line of a hymn. A friend advised Doris to visit the Sacred Heart Hospital, Abeokuta, Catholic owned, for treatment in 2005 and that was where providence brought her in contact with Dr Passely, a white missionary doctor who sponsored her to a German hospital in Gezss, Austria.
The missionary doctor was responsible for her operation fees, accommodation and feeding for the two months that Doris stayed in Austria. The church assisted her with drugs and pints of blood while the Seventh Day Adventist, Ibadan provided her with a return flight ticket.  She was to go back for check up in three months but she lacked the means and in 2007, she started experiencing pains and the knee started growing bigger, so she called the doctor who asked her to do an x-ray of the knee and send to him.
The knee had grown so bad. The tumour had grown so big and had reached her abdomen and the doctor asked her to travel fast. But she did not have money and neither did she know any individual who could sponsor her trip. But as the Lord would have it, Dr Passely, the Seventh Day Adventist Lagos and Dr Paul, a friend of Dr Passely in Austria made the second trip possible. She left Lagos on December 4, 2010 and returned in May 2011.
The surgery was to cost between four and five million naira but again the doctor took responsibility and her leg and abdomen surgery were done. She said the bones from her hip to knee were removed and replaced with plastic. She could not undergo therapy because of funds but she was given drugs and injections which lasted three months. Now she has exhausted her medication and the pains are back. “The pains are more severe and more aggravated now,” Doris explained. She needs to go back to Austria for treatment but there is no money.

“I am appealing to all kind hearted people to please come to my aid. I need about N1.5 million to cover my tickets and treatment. Please help me for God’s sake,” she pleaded.
