Muhammadu Buhari has won Nigeria's presidential polls, in the country's first election victory by the opposition. Gen Buhari was ahead of Mr Jonathan by at least two million votes. Around 4.am April 1st 2015, Nigeria time the chairman of  #INEC Proffesor Attahiru Jega announced to confirm Gen Muhamadu Buhari as the President Elect of the federal republic of Nigeria.
However the outgoing President Goodluck Jonathan has already conceded defeat and had already call to congratulate Muhammadu Buhari for his epic win!

General Muhmmadu Buhari #APC defeated the incumbent president Goodluck Jonathan #PDP with total number of 15,424,921 Votes as the incumbent scored 12,853,162.

SaharaReporters is confidently projecting Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of last weekend’s presidential election based on collated poll results from 95 percent of Nigeria’s polling units. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will resume the official release of the poll figures at 10 a.m. Nigerian time today, with Mr. Buhari all but certain to be declared the president-elect.
Last night, INEC suspended the official release of the state-by-state vote counts for the keenly contested presidential election. However, with only five percent of votes remaining to be added up, our figures indicate that Mr. Buhari is leading incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan by more than two million votes. In addition, the APC candidate has secured at least twenty-five percent of votes cast in two-thirds of Nigeria’s 36 states. Mr. Buhari has so far won 14,855,820 million votes, with Mr. Jonathan trailing him with 12,107,628 million.

Wife of the vice president of Nigeria, Hajiya Amina Namadi Sambo, was seen sharing money on live television to sway voters during the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) women presidential campaign rally on Tuesday in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi state.

She said President Goodluck Jonathan had impacted positively on the lives of Nigerians, especially women, adding that women had been appointed as ministers and political advisers unlike in the past.

The bodies of two children found in a Detroit freezer had been there for more than a year while their mother continued to live in the apartment with her two other kids, according to police.

Police said the bodies appeared to a male aged approximately 11 years old and a female who was approximately 14 years old. They were found inside a plastic bag and appeared to be 'frozen'.

Hate campaigners got a bloody nose yesterday. Former President Ibrahim Babangida protested against attacks by President Goodluck Jonathan’s supporters on his person and others.
He cited other generals under attack as former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, the late ex-Head of State Gen, Sani Abacha, ex-Head of State Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar and a former Minister of Defence, Gen. T.Y Danjuma.
Although Babangida did not mention names, First Lady Dame Patience Jonathan, Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi and Peoples Democratic Party Campaign Council spokesperson Femi Fani-Kayode have been criticised by many for championing hate campaign.
He said those promoting hate documentaries are “intellectually delinquent or they suffer memory loss”.
