National President of the Association, Dr Chidozie Jude Achonwa, who gave the position during a press briefing in Abuja, described the action of Lagos State Government as an unfortunate development and unacceptable. The President said, “what else can explain the mass sack of highly skilled professionals in one fell swoop?
He declared that the sack of the doctors, who were members of his association, was “unwarranted, unexpected of a democratic administration and smacked of executive recklessness and extreme high handedness of tyrannical proportion.”
