Well-meaning Nigerians have started responding to the call to come to the aid of ailing veteran actor, Ahmed Oduola, otherwise known as Dento.

Though his condition is said to be steadily improving, our

correspondent learnt that the monetary support may ensure the actor bounce back to action soon.

The actor, who is famous for his comic roles, took ill some months ago. Though he has been off the stage since about five years ago, it was also gathered that his condition prevented him from practicsng as a tailor which he left the stage to do some time ago.

Apart from some individuals, wife of Oyo State Governor is also said to have come to the aid of the sick actor.

According to the founder of Nollywood Awards, Seun Oloketuyi, the kindness that some people have shown to Dento has been bringing hope back to his life. He, however, needs a comprehensive rehabilitation.

The family is thus still expecting more support from those who wish to help him.

Dento’s comic legacies cut through many stage plays and films. He was one of the prime members of the Lere Paimo’s Eda Onileola Theatre, with Idajo being one of the memorable plays in which he featured. He is also part of Kareem Adepoju (Baba Wande)/ Tunde Kelani’s Ti Oluwa ni Ile, where he plays the role of a palace wag.

Dento is also a fantastic dancer.
