Though the runaway lady booked into the hotel with the name Mary Osawe, she later sent an sms to the police with another name where she identified herself as Funke Babajide, thus giving the security agents the
impression that she concealed her real identity.

It was also gathered that when the baby woke up and needed the attention of his mother who was not around, he resorted to crying, a situation which attracted the hotel workers who on getting to the hotel room, met the door opened with the toddler alone inside, sources hinted.
Other rooms were searched but the lady could not be found, aside the note explaining her where about was seen by the side of a bag which she left with the boy as well as her medication.
In the note, the lady had disclosed that she had a terminal disease which could kill her very soon adding that the man who impregnated her denied being the father of the boy.

LEADERSHIP further gathered that the hotel workers reported the incident to the police at Mokola division who swung into action immediately.
It was gathered that when finally contacted on phone, the baby’s mother in an sms response further explained her action, pleading with whoever picked the child to take good care of him because he would be a source of blessing to such as he was not an ordinary child.
The Police have meanwhile referred the child to the welfare department and the Divisional Police Officer for Mokola Ibadan, Superintendent Moses Aikuola added that he has referred the case to the state Force Headquarters.
