Sola before and after |
It was gathered that the housewife was so engrossed in the movie that she did
not know when little Oluwasola walked away from the room to the kitchen where she picked a matchbox and moved to the corridor of their apartment in Oshinle area of the capital city. The little girl was said to have played with the generator that had been switched on during which she innocently struck a match causing a fire outbreak and the consequent explosion.
Sources told Sunday Sun that although the baby who was trapped in the fire cried her quite some time, her mother was oblivious of what had befallen her child and the raging fire in a section of their home. Unfortunately, the neigbhours had left for their various outside engagements. Help later came the baby’s way when a passerby who saw her struggling to escape from the burning generator raised an alarm that attracted her mother.
When the baby was eventually rescued, her face had been disfigured and her hands badly burnt in the explosion . She was initially rushed to the Akure Specialist Hospital where she was referred to the Federal Medical Center (FMC), Owo. Checks by Sunday Sun revealed that doctors at the FMC later advised that she should be moved to the University College Hospital (UCH) for better medical attention.
The authorities of the hospital were said to have recommended the child for plastic surgery on her face and hands, one of which has been amputated. The girl it was gathered Dependable sources told Sunday Sun that N18 million was needed to give the baby quality medical treatment. Meanwhile, the child’s mother, Mrs Fatejo, has denied watching a movie while her baby was trapped in the explosion.
“I was not watching movie. I was in my room arranging her bed when I heard the sound of the explosion only to find her burning with the generator. I was helpless until our neighbours came to my rescue. My husband, a civil servant, was not around but he immediately rushed home when he was informed about the incident.
“We took her to the Federal Medical Centre, in Owo local government area for treatment but and she was referred to UCH, Ibadan.” Mrs. Fatejo confirmed that her baby’s left hand had been amputated and that medical doctors have demanded for N1.8 million for surgery.
We appeal to kind-hearted persons out there to come to Olusola's aid. Any support or donation from you will be highly appreciated. Thanks and God bless!

ReplyDeleteBut what is the problem of our people? U negleted ur daughter and have her have this blemish for the rest of her life? OMG!!! The most annoying thing is that the baby's dad just came back from his senior brother in the USA, and all he could do with all te money he gathereed from USA is to buy a car when he gets back to Nigeria intead of taking his daughter for a tretment, shameless people!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't even know that someone has commented about the stupid idiot who is whorthless to be a father that called himself a father of this innocent baby girl, not only that he came back from USA from his senior brother and bought a car with the money he gathered from his brother from the USA alone,he also brought a woman from USA too that he was showing off around as his new wife, can u immagine? He neglegted both the innocent daughter, Olusola Fatejo and the wife, Mrs Mercy Fatejo and was showing off around with the new wife name around in Akure. He was also showing off around in Akure that he was working at Obama's carbinet in the USA when he was there for 6 months, what a world? I feel so sorry for the innocent girl so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteR u serious about this report? It is shame and disgusting if true, i am sure the socalled father will pay early for this. God is not as sleep, thank u for sharing.
DeleteFeyi it is true, how i wish u are in Akure Ondo state, u would have seen it all if u know him, he is a Police officer. My concern is how do we help the poor and innocent girl that her life will not be messed up with this stigma that her parents put on her? Since her dad does not care about her now. How can we raise money for her that the money will be used for the purpose, no the one her useless father will use to be carrying women around.
ReplyDeletePls can you keep us posted on how we can contact her family (mother)and contribute for baby Sola's treatment.
