HURRAY! Anambra is now an oil producing state

 

President Goodluck Jonathan has commissioned the commencement of oil drilling activities at Orient Oil Resource Centre, near Aguleri in Anambra state.
Already high
quality, sodium-free oil has been extracted from the wells.
The President who was on a one day working visit to Anambra State, also officially commissioned the Onitsha River Port Complex,  in Anambra State which cost N4.6 billion.

Earlier in his goodwill message, Anambra State, Peter Obi, says the state is the youngest and newest oil producing state in the country. He also said Onitsha remains the home of commerce hence is the most suitable spot for the port adding that the project will reduce the weight on the Nigerian roads and create more jobs.
