Naija Jaga Jaga Pt2: Eedris Fires Back At Obasanjo, Calls Him A 'Mugu'

Nigerian rapper Eedris Abdulkareem has responded to former president Olusegun Obasanjo’s critism directed to him for recording his 2004 hit song ‘Jaga jaga’. The KENNIS Music rapper called Obasanjo a ‘Mugu’.
Speaking at a
forum organized by Nigeria Leadership Initiative (NLI) on Tuesday, August 28, 2012, the former president recalled Abdulkareem’s 2004 hit track ‘Jaga jaga’ saying that rapper doesn’t believe in the future of the country.
According to Obasanjo, ‘One of the worst problems Nigeria is facing is disbelief. Nigerians no longer believe in themselves neither do they believe in their country. That takes me back to that song “jaga jaga”, how could a sane man dare to call his country jaga jaga? It is the height of blasphemy. We are grooming our youths for tomorrow’s leadership and with such persons I don’t think the country can move forward’.
This is the second time the ex-ruler will be making reference to the singer over the same song title.
Meanwhile, Abdulkreem took to micro-blogging site Twitter to get back to the former president.
