•I went to discuss with great minds
Former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, said yesterday that he was properly invited to the National Democratic Convention in Charlotte North Carolina, USA, calling those commenting on the matter as unserious people.
Tinubu, who flew into Lagos aboard a private jet(?), said the dusts raised over the matter in the political circles were unwarranted.
The former Lagos governor also
said that the Peoples Democratic Party does not have the moral right to query the type of invitation he got to travel to the USA.
He said his trip is no excuse for PDP’s failure to address issues bordering on poor governance, failed privatisation process of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, unemployment, poverty, insecurity and other socio-economic malaise.
Tinubu said the trip afforded him a good opportunity to discuss with great minds at the convention from where developmental ideas evolved.
