Happy Sunday To Y'all: Adefarasin completes N3bn Rock Cathedral

Popular Lagos church, House on the Rock, pastored by Paul Adefarasin, has completed a new church cathedral estimated to have gulped about 3 billion naira. The edifice, Rock Cathedral, also known as Millennium Temple, sits on 32,000 square meters, and has an inner seating capacity of 10,000 worshippers and another 10,000 within the church premises. The temple, which took about 8 years to be completed, is expected to
be dedicated for use before the end of the year. The new "House on the Rock" is situated along the Lekki Epe Express way, close to Liberty Hall. The Millennium Temple, though gigantic, pales in comparism to the 50,000 capacity world-record holding, Faith Tabernacle of Bishop David Oyedepo. The building took 12 months to be completed. Faith Tabernacle is presently the largest church building in the world, with a sitting capacity of 50,400 people and an outside overflow capacity of over 250,000, with four services every Sunday. Construction completed in Canaanland till date is estimated at no less than $600 million(N90 Billion), with an additional Canaan City Estate currently in construction, which will be the largest housing estate in Africa and easily one of the largest in the world with 15,000 housing units and at a cost of N250 Billion or $1.6 Billion. Another Cathedral of note is the National Temple of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, which took about 25 years of construction work to be completed. The Temple, touted as the largest church in the world, has a sitting capacity of 100,000 worshippers at a time.
