You Must Read This: Shittu, Hole In The Heart Child, Needs Help To Live

THIS is not a good time for the Shittus and their two-year-old son, Musibaudeen.  Consultants at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) have referred little Musibaudeen to Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital in India for urgent medical attention.   Musibaudeen was diagnosed with a hole in his heart that requires surgical operation.   Mrs. Shukurat Shittu, mother of the boy, disclosed that she has been told by medical consultants at the LUTH that Musibaudeen’s health condition is deteriorating and that medically his case has been categorized as ‘high risk case and life threatening’.   Mrs. Shittu further stated that the medical consultant at the LUTH, Dr. Animashaun has advised that Musibaudeen be
taken to India for prompt medical attention. “Dr Animashaun has referred the case to Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital in India and response from the hospital through Dr. Shreesha Maiya, Consultant Pediatric Cardiology, shows that we will need approximately N3million to save the life of my son,” Mrs. Shittu said in tears.
According to the breakdown, Mrs. Shittu provided, the sum will be needed to evaluate Musibaudeen’s case and to handle surgical expenses. Also included are visa, transport, drugs and other related expenses.
“I am begging well-meaning Nigerians to come to our aid. We can’t raise that kind of money. Things have been very difficult for us. We have spent all our life savings on managing the problem, but now it has gone beyond managing.
