Report reaching us indicates that a sex hungry former councillor of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State, Onimole Babatunde, has been

arrested and detained at the Area E Police Command, Festac, Lagos for allegedly stabbing an 18-year-old girl a.k.a Mariam Abubakar in the neck after she refused his advances at a night club.

According to source, Mariam Abubakar went to Pearl Habour Night Club in Rochester Garden Hotel, Festac on October 26, to groove with her friends, but unfortunately for her, as the club rocked on, Mr Babatunde, who was said to be obviously drunk, started to make advances to Mariam, and publicly molested her in a sexy way.

The source said that in that process, Mariam warned the old man Babatunde to back off that she was not interested in him. This bluff angered Babatunde as he pulled her up where she was sitting; as if that wasn''t enough he started manhandling the little girl and as Mariam tried to escape from the scene, he rushed to a corner, took a bottle, broke it and stabbed Mariam in the neck.” Babatunde on seeing what he did, instantly the alcohol he took the whole night cleared from his eyes and he fled the scene at once.

According to report, Mariam Abubakar is currently under intensive care at the hospital receiving treatment.

According to source, the police said the night club workers destroyed evidence at the scene of the alleged crime by cleaning up Abubakar’s blood on the floor.

 The hotel has currently been sealed off by the police because the management did not report the incident.

....and finally, the police spokesperson, Ngozi Braide, said she had not been briefed on the case.

However before some people will jump into comment to criticize on why the 18yr old girl left her parents home for nite clubbing....I advice that we should Fist of all out rightly condemn the useless act of this so called ex-councilor and he should face the law.
