Five people have been beheaded in an attack by Islamists in Maiduguri, yesterday.
According to two witnesses, who asked not to be named, said they heard cries for help at around 2:30 a.m. from a house in the Jiddari Polo area of Maiduguri and later saw five dead bodies with what looked like machete wounds.
Another source said that the men were
attacked during raids on three homes overnight. According to the residents who spoke of the beheadings, said the attackers arrived at around 3:00 am, first killing a man and his son in one house, then two other residents in a second house, followed by the fifth victim in a third house.
Residents said the fifth victim was a fisheries official in the ministry of agriculture.
