Victor Moses dedicated Nigeria's African Nations Cup triumph to all of his compatriots following the Super Eagles' 1-0 win over Burkina Faso in Sunday's final.
Moses, who recently
switched allegiance from England to Nigeria, started the match in which Sunday Mba's strike proved the difference.
The Chelsea forward later proclaimed his pride at helping Nigeria clinch their first continental title in 19 years.
"[It's] one of [the] best days of my life this is a dream come true I'm so proud to be Nigerian. The win is for each and every one of [you] back home," Moses said via Twitter.
Meanwhile, Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi hopes the victory is but a stepping stone toward greater things for his nation as they now prepare to represent Africa at the Confederations Cup.
