Pardon every crook - Alabi

former Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Tafa Balogun

The Council of State that considered the former Governor Diepreye Alamieyeseigha for presidential pardon is not better than those individuals calling for amnesty for the Boko Haram terrorists. The council’s case is even worst being the highest decision-body in the country. The council has apparently forgotten the ridicule and shame the former governor whom President Goodluck Jonathan gleefully referred to as his political benefactor recently, brought to Nigerians by reportedly dressing like a woman to escape arrest at London airport a few years ago. If Alamieyeseigha, the former boss of Mr. President, could be pardoned just like that, others like former Inspector-General of Police, Tafa Balogun, Chief Bode George, Mrs Cecilia Ibru, James Ibori and
all the former governors and ministers standing trials, the former bank chief executives that are standing trials should as well be pardoned to show the world that corruption is part of our way of life.
