President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday met behind closed-doors with the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega at the presidential villa.
Though there were no official positions as to the cause of the meeting and details of it not made public, a close presidential source said it was ‘a routine briefing’.
But it was clear that......
issues bordering on the inconclusive Anambra State governorship election, yesterday’s protest by the All Progressives Congress (APC) as well as the controversies that had trailed the polls, were discussed.
The source also stated that the INEC chairman also briefed President Jonathan on preparations put in place for the supplementary election slated for Saturday.
President Jonathan also met the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Lamorde, behind closed-doors.
At the end of the meeting Lamorde refused to take questions from newsmen.
