 During the 2012 inter-denominational service which held at the National Ecumenical Centre to mark the 2012 Armed Forces Remembrance Day, President Goodluck Jonathan made the following statement as regards members of the deadly Boko Haram terrorist sect invading his government:
“Some of them are in the executive arm of government, some of them are in the parliamentary/legislative arm of government while some of them are even in the judiciary.
“Some are also in the armed forces, the police and other security agencies.
“Some continue to dip their hands and eat with you and you won’t even know the person who will point a gun at you or plant a bomb behind your house.”

[Mr WENDELL SIMLIN] Ekekeee Editorial: Reno Omokri: How Low Can A Presidency Sink?

The discovery by eagle eyed Twitter users that the Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan on New Media, Mr Reno Omokri, launched a smear campaign roping the recent upsurge in terrorist insurgencies around the country around the neck of suspended Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Mr Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, should be seen for what it is: an insidious act unbecoming of a Presidential aide and which should cost Mr Omokri his job.
A regular Twitter user, Feyi Fawehinmi (@DoupleEph) had asked Journalist and Blogger, Abang Mercy (@AbangMercy) to forward him an email making the rounds and received by the latter linking the worrying spate of killings in which more than 200 persons had lost their lives (including 43 college kids) in Nigeria's turbulent North East region in the space of four days, to the suspended Sanusi Lamido who has since dragged President Jonathan to court for legal breaches in ousting him. The revelations that followed from Fawehinmi's Twitter Timeline would have the online community buzzing for a while. The emails, written by a certain Wendell Simlin have since been traced to Mr Omokri who handles the President's social media brief . Mr Omokri's name turned up after the mails were subjected to a property and digital footprint analyses. As the backlash from furious Twitter users aimed at Mr Omokri's Twitter handle intensified, Mr Wendell Simlin's Facebook page got yankedoff cyberspace. The microsoft document from where the inciting email was attached bore Mr Reno Omokri's name. Wendell Simlin has since been discovered to be Reno Omokri and Reno Omokri, we have since found, shares the same flesh and soul with Mr Wendell Simlin.

It is found on the streets, magazines, advertisements, movies, televisions, video games, smart phones, mobile devices, and on-line photo sharing services, in living rooms, hotels, and cyber cafes. It is fast acquiring the prominence of a new culture, a bad and user-destroying culture, yet no one wants to discuss it seriously. Teachers, parents, preachers, good mentors, are reluctant to face it, while millions drown in its compelling ocean without seeking help.

A comprehensive demographic study of more than 200 countries finds that there are 2.18 billion Christians of all ages around the world, representing nearly a third of the estimated 2010 global population of 6.9 billion. The number of Christians around the world has nearly quadrupled in the last 100 years.  Christians make up about the same portion of the world’s population today (32 per cent) as they did a century ago (35 per cent). From the remotest and most obscure nook and cranny of Nigeria to the main street of every monumental mega-city, it is not a struggle to find galleria gatherings of people shouting “Alleluia, Praise the Lord”, with enthusiasm and fervour.

In our nation today, there is almost no street spared of a church building in-situ. Some of these church structures are shacks and shanties, and lots of them look like royalty dwelling places. Even in the most treacherous parts of Nigeria where Christianity is adamantly abhorred, the audacity of church-planters to take their messages to those cities, villages and towns has neither flickered nor waned. Nigeria, I will declare, is a “church nation”.

THE spate of rampant rape and defilement of young girls in Anambra State is now giving many parents and guardians cause for concern.
From one community to the other, there has been incessant cases of rape, defilement and deflowering of young girls most of whom were teenagers and even minors.

The first victim of these rapists was little Miss Chekwube (surname withheld), a teenager from Ogborji- Ezzagu Community in Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State residing with her parents at MINAJ Village, Odume Layout, Obosi.

The teenager was gang-raped to death by eight artisans in an uncompleted building at Odume Layout, Obosi, sometime in September, 2013, when her father sent her to go and buy some cups of garri at night for their dinner.

GOBE! Man dies in romp with commercial sex worker in Aba

A man, identified as Ogadinma Chukwu, has lost his life while having sex with a commercial sex worker at a popular brothel located on St. Michael’s Road, Aba, Abia State.

Sources said the deceased, whom they alleged to be a regular visitor to the brothel, died while romping the prostitute.

It was gathered that immediately Chukwu slumped and died, the prostitute contacted her....

Bello Mallami Aliyu Boy from hell: Murdered and and buried his father

A 25-year-old man, Bello Mallami Aliyu, has allegedly killed and buried his father,  Mallami Aliyu in Sokoto, aged 56. Both the suspect and the victim lived together at Kofar Kasua Area of Sokoto metropolis.
The slain Aliyu was said to be an official of the Centre for Islamic Studies of the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto before he was allegedly murdered by his son.
The suspect’s action had made the residents to be jittery immediately the news of incident broke out at about 2am on Sunday.
