According to source, a fierce riot occurred this morning in Apapa between tanker drivers and military personnel after the death of a tanker driver. Eye witness at the scene of the unfortunate incident reported that trouble started when a naval officer shot a tanker driver identified as Lekan to death after the decease Lekan and his boss refused to give a bribe of N500 to the naval officer.
On seeing the atrocity they /Naval officers) have committed, they took to their heels, and instantly some tanker drivers and people around barricaded the road with burn fire and gave them a hot chase.
Nigeria Security forces are very notorious in killing innocent citizens at will, even without any provocation. Many a times they kill if one refuse to pay or give them bribe.
