

Blogger and political commentator, Japheth Omojuwa, has been arrested in Abuja for reportedly leading protest to get justice for victims of Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) recruitment test.
In confirmation, several sources from Abuja has it that Japheth Omojuwa and another protester Uche have been arrested. Nasir El-Rufai confirmed that Omojuwa is being held at the Area 1 police station.
El-Rufai added: “I am on a flight out of Abuja but have sent lawyers to the station!”
The Original plan of the protest was to carry multiple coffins to Abba Moro’s house.
Metropole Magazine ? reported that an NSCDC woman assaulted Omojuwa at some point.
However some other concerned Nigerians have poured out their anger through the social media due to this unlawful and illegal arrest.
Since this arrest, social media such as Twitter has been buzzing with protest calling for the release of Omojuwa and co. Live Tweets from Twitter has it that Omojuwa is still in NSCDC custody.
