The police in Delta have arrested 26 lesbians in the state after a raid on their hideout around the Awai road area of Asaba.
The Police Public Relations Officer for the state, Celestina Kalu confirmed the arrest and said that the suspects were having sex when they were apprehended.

She said the suspects who confessed to the crime during interrogation, claimed they were in it as a way to eke a living.
Kalu further said the suspects would be charged to court on completion of investigation.
It will be recalled that the Nigerian Senate and President Goodluck Jonathan signed off on the anti-homosexuality law which came into effect early this year.
