OMG!! SSS arrests popular musician for singing against President Jonathan

A popular musician in Kano, Ahmed Audi Zarewa, has been reportedly arrested by the State Security Service, SSS, for recording a song to condemn President Jonathan’s campaign visit to Kano a day after the Nyanya bombing in Abuja.
According to former FCT Minister, Nasir el Rufai, the artiste was said to have been arrested by the SSS on Tuesday for allegedly recording a version of a Hausa folk song titled “Zuwan Mai Malfa Kano.”
The song was said to have been recorded by Ahmed to protest President Jonathan and his entourage’s singing and dancing at a rally held in Kano the very morning that more than 200 teenage girls were kidnapped from a high school in Chibok, Borno State.
Ahmed believe the action of the president was a clear illustration of his administration’s lack of respect for the Nigerian people.
It was gathered that the musician was arrested by the SSS in a clear violation of his rights to freedom of speech.

Two weeks have passed since Boko Haram abducted the school girls from their boarding school.
The teenage girls, who range in age from 16 to 18, were taken from their dormitories at the Government Girls Secondary School in the town of Chibok on April 14 and taken away by trucks in the middle of the night. There are now reports that indicate the school girls, who were thought to be held hostage in the Sambisa Forest, have been sold as brides to Islamic militants for 2,000 naira, or $12.
Nigerian officials have confirmed the teenage girls were kidnapped by Boko Haram, but have not yet confirmed if they have been sold as brides.
