PHOTO: Evangelist shoots father to death in Enugu

Evangelist, Chukwukezi Afonogu,

A 30-year-old man who claimed to be an evangelist, Chukwukezi Afonogu, is now cooling his heels in the custody of the Enugu State Police Command for killing his 65-year-old father, Judge Afonogu with a gun.
Afonogu allegedly committed the heinous act because the father purport­edly called....
him a ‘mad boy’ during an altercation, an insult that enraged him so much and prompted the fatal shooting of the old man.
The Enugu State Commissioner of Police, Mr Mohammed Adamu, who confirmed the news said the incident happened at 3pm on Au­gust 25, 2014 in Enugu-Inyi, Oji River Local Government Area, Enugu State.
The suspect was said to have been having frequent quarrels with his father. On the fateful day, in the midst of an­other altercation, Afonogu allegedly re­trieved his gun from his room, came out into the family compound and shot his father where he was seated and resting under a tree in the afternoon.
