According to source, an explosion and sporadic gunshot rocks Kano Friday evening as people were rushing home after the day's activities killed unspecified number of people while several others reported injured.

incident occured along Maiduguri road opposite NNPC mega station in Hotoro triggered heavy gun duel.
Both military and police authorities are keeping sealed lips over the development, but just-in a combined team of soldiers and policemen, as well as firefighters, were seen moving in a convoy to the cordon off the area.
