President Goodluck Jonathan, who last week bragged that he was a better leader than former president Olusegun Obasanjo and every Nigerian leader since independence, on Thursday sent a powerful delegation consisting of five Peoples Democratic Party governors led by the Chairman, PDP Governors Forum, and governor, Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio to the former president to plead support for his re-election bid and the state of the nation.
Briefing journalists after the meeting, Obasanjo, said his comments on the state of the nation was not to badmouth anybody or run anybody down.
He explained that his criticisms was borne out of his genuine concern for the country.
