‘What makes me happiest is the air touching my face,’ she says, her expression becoming animated as she imagines it.
She is 12 years old, and is battling leukemia.
Cristina is sharing her thoughts as part of a new film which compares the last wishes of cancer patients to those of the healthy.
The filmmaker, who uploaded the video to YouTube, has set up a screen in a room, with two chairs either side of it, and asked two people to sit on either side of the screen, unable to see each other.
But they can hear each other speaking, and are filmed answering questions such as 'What would you do if you were granted one wish?' and 'What makes you happy?'.
When the healthy people answer, they say wish to go Greek island hopping; travel to the Sahara desert or win jobs as journalist in New York.
But the answers of the cancer patients, and their relatives, are much more touching.
'We do not appreciate life until we feel that we might may lose it,' the script at the end of the film reads.
'Appreciate the little things, they become important when we lose them.'
The film was made by the Association of Adolescents, in Spain.
Share your thoughts.......thanks!
