Since 1936, helicopters have been around, with the manufacturing of the Focke Wulf FW61.
It was designed for transportation, cargo handling, search and rescue and even simple aerial observations.
In 1942, Igor Sikorsky conducted some full-scale production when he was able to build 131 helicopters.
In Nigeria, Helicopter is increasingly becoming popular, with about 100 helicopters owned by six operators currently flying the Nigerian skies.
These operations are mostly concentrated around the oil and gas industry.
