Fishermen in Otuoke, Bayelsa State, recovered the body of a relative to former President Goodluck Jonathan, who was kidnapped alongside Jonathan’s uncle, Chief Inegite Jonathan.

Armed gunmen had on Wednesday abducted, for a second time, 72-year-old Chief Inegite Jonathan, the former president’s uncle and foster father, but the kidnap of the relative, Mr. Oki was not immediately noticed.
With the discovery of his decomposing body, fears have been heightened over the safety of pa Jonathan, whose status was still unknown by Friday afternoon.
Reports indicated that the body had been deposited at a morgue in the area while sympathisers have started visiting the Otuoke residence and neighbourhood of the Jonathans.
