The Lagos State Police spokesperson, Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the rescue and arrests.
“Yes, the girls have been rescued safely by the police in an overnight operation. We also made some arrests,” she said.

It will be recalled that the pupils, while studying in a
classroom on Monday evening, were seized by gunmen numbering 15 and
escaped through the school fence.
