Widow escapes letter bomb sent to her!

What looks like a repeat of the Dele Giwa letter bomb episode was luckily averted in
Minna, Niger State yesterday when a Minna-based business woman and widow refused to open a letter bomb purportedly sent to her by a bank.
According to source, when the letter arrived at her filling station located opposite Bahago Plaza in Minna, she asked that the letter be taken to one of her managers while she put a call to the bank.

When the bank confirmed there was no such letter from them, she quickly called the manager not to open it and instead alerted the police in Tundun wada station, who came around to pick the letter.
At the station, a team of professionals detonated the bomb, which exploded without causing any injury to the officers.
Police Public Relations Officer in Minna, ASP Richard Adamu Oguche said a welder had been arrested in connection with the letter bomb and had made useful statement.

.....Back to sender, i thank God for sparing her life.
