Fear Of Terror: Black polythene bag containing faeces causes panic in Kogi

A black polythene bag, containing wastes, found at the gate of a church in Lokoja, Kogi State, caused pandemonium among residents of the city; a day after 17 people were killed by suspected terrorists in an attack on a church in the state.
A member of the
Revival Fire Church, who did not want his name published, dispelled rumours that a bomb was found in the premises; adding that the bag which sparked the panic was later found to contain faeces.
Simon Ile, the state’s police spokesperson, confirmed the development, and urged residents to go about their normal activities.
The rumour had paralysed government business and commercial activities in Lokoja as residents scampered for safety from the imaginary bomb.
