The killing of a man employed by the Anambra state government responsible for maintaining traffic on the road has sparked serious violence and
riots in Onitsha a commercial city in Anambra state.
The violence it was gathered, was as a result of the killing the state by two trailer drivers of the northern extraction. The killing has reportedly parked more violence and riots especially at the Onitsha bridge head axis. However, some northerners were said to have ran to neighboring Asaba and to the near-by military barracks for their safety. According to source, tension is still on in Onitsha.
