The decomposed body of 80-year-old Chief
James Iloenyosi from Abagana, Anambra State, was found in the bush by
the State Police Command yesterday.
Pa Iloenyosi, who was kidnapped by
gunmen three days before his birthday, was the father of former Super
Eagles player, Chikelue Iloenyosi, who played professional football in
France and Turkey.
Although, according to the State Police
Commissioner, Usman Gwary, the command would not want anything that
could jeopardise investigations, four of the suspects had been arrested
for the kidnap of the late Iloenyosi.

When the information flew out, the State
Police Command deployed over 700 policemen to comb every the nook and
cranny of the state in search of the man, but all to no avail.
The family was also made to part with
N1.5 million naira as ransom by his abductors which they declared
insufficient before the man died.
One of the daughters of the deceased and
a well known politician, Hajia Chinyere Oguguo-Agagbo, was all tears
yesterday and could not be consoled by the husband, Okpoka Agagbo, and
relations.
She was reigning causes on the people
who perpetrated the act, imploring God to show the wicked that he was in
control of the universe.
