A Dependable source within the Nollywood industry have confirmed to that veteran Renowned writer, actress and director of Nigeria’s Nollywood movies, Amaka Igwe is dead. She was pronounced dead in the early hours of Tuesday, April 29, 2014, in Enugu.

Asthma breathed her last after battling with Asthma attack reportedly died on the set on a soap opera she was directing in Enugu state.

Some of the numerous film she produced was the evergreen popular comedy series, ‘Fuji House of Commotion’ and ‘Checkmate’ and also RattleSnake and Violated movies.

Amaka Igwe is survived by her husband, Charles Igwe and children. According to source, she was aged 51.
