Oyo state Farmers Protest Rape Of Women By Fulani Herdsmen

Farmers in Oke Ogun area of Oyo State have protested the incessant rape of their women by the Fulani/Bororo herdsmen who have been
invading their farms and unleashing terror on the community.
The farmers carried their protest to the office of the Local Government Council Chairman and the traditional ruler of the town, Oba Ganiyu Ologunnebi Ajinese in Iseyin. The protesters numbering over 100 with placards alleged that the Fulani/Bororo herdsmen on the pretext of grazing their cows on the farm often rape their wives apart froms destroying their maize, cassava and other farm produce.
Speaking with reporters, the Chairman of All Farmers Association of Nigeria in Iseyin, Chief S.O. Fehintola, described the action of the Fulani/Bororo herdsmen as inhuman and unacceptable to them.
He said that the action of the Fulani/Borro was immoral and destructive and pleaded with the Council Chairman and the monarch to call them to order.
In his words, he said that the, “These Fulani/Bororo people attempted to kill farmers who dare raise eyebrows against their criminality as they rape our girls and wives with impunity”, he  further alleged.
The farmers’ leader appealed to the State government to make a law controlling the activities of these men otherwise they would defend themselves.

This Fulani herdsmen are becoming something else in this country, their people should as a matter or urgent call them to order.

Thank God the Cross River state Governor is now taking the right steps to transport those killers to their northermost desert.
