The 32 sex workers were
among the 52 arrested by the Lagos State Taskforce on Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit last Wednesday at Toyin Street and Isaac John areas of Ikeja.
It was also gathered that 20 others will be arraigned in court soon and may face similar fate.
The sex workers were convicted on three count charges and sentenced according to the gravity of each of the charges in the case in which the Attorney General of Lagos State stands as the prosecutor while the convicts stand as defendants.
The sex workers were convicted on the aforementioned charges and sentenced to two months imprisonment without the option of fine.

That serves them right. People keeps saying that it because of the rate of unemployment,lack of govt effort in caring for our needs and so on; but what about our ladies in fashion industries, petty businesses, females hussling as tricyle riders e.tc.
