Police Arraign Teachers For Exam Malpractice

The Police, yesterday, arraigned five teachers at the Ebute-Meta Magistrate’s Court for examination malpractice.
They were docked for allegedly smuggling answers into the hall where students were writing this year’s West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
The teachers , Ikechukwu Martin( 27), Olaoye Sunday (31), Innocent Abbey (24), Egbogoh Obehi (29) and
Olalere Olalekan are standing trial for allegedly aiding examination malpractice, an offence which contravenes Section 322 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos, 2011.
The defendants, according to the charge sheet, smuggled English paper one with serial number - S3021, Mathematics and Economics, all answered, for candidates’ use.
They were arrested by the police after they smuggled in answer sheets to candidates at Jeno Grammar School, Itire-Ikate, Lagos.
