EXCLUSIVE PHOTOs: BBC Komla Dumor's Final Journey - Wife In Tears As Husband Was Laid In State

The entire nation is in a solemn mood on Friday February 21 as the final three day journey of proud Ghanaian and African son Komla Dumor began.

The burial ceremony began with a requiem mass held at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Accra, for the late BBC Ghanaian Journalist.

It was attended by a sizable chunk of well-wishers, friends and former working colleagues, some of who were from the BBC.

The Mass was moderated by Metropolitan Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra, Palmer Buckle, who urged the youth to walk in the footsteps of Komla Dumor to lift the flag of Africa high. Bishop Palmer-Buckle encouraged them to take the occasion of Komla’s death as a period to renew their faith in God while believing in the resurrection story.

Crème de la crème of media personalities, Politicians, family and friends gathered to walk pass Komla’s mortal remains. Some of the familier face include; Ex-President JJ Rawlings.
