A maid, Esther Aniefiok, a 23-year-old
indigene of Akwa Ibom State, has allegedly stolen valuables estimated at
N4m belonging to her boss, identified simply as Mrs. Abiola.
Abiola, who lives in the Ifako area of
Lagos, revealed that she....
employed Aniefiok on March 30 through
an agent, Anthony Akpan, and she agreed to be paying her N18,000 per
month.
She said the suspect was well-behaved and never showed any evil trait, until she broke into her room on April 6.
Aniefiok was alleged to have made away
with gold jewellery, including a wedding band and engagement ring,
wristwatches, shoes, clothing items, a phone and about N100,000 cash.
Policemen from the Ifako Police Division were said to have been alerted to the incident.
The agent was arrested, but the suspect was said to be at large.
